UPSC Mains 2022: Important Details
Vacancy Details:
According to the UPSC announcement, the IAS 2022 exam would be taken to fill about 1011 positions. Male and female applicants will be recruited for a variety of services. For detailed information regarding different vacancies under different services visit the official website.
Educational Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any field is mandatory for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Exam applicants. Applicants with any percentile will be capable of applying for the IAS (UPSC CSE) Exam, but they must also meet all other requirements. Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure depends on three stages:
- Preliminary Exam: The initial assessment is the Preliminary Examination. As a result, it is qualifying. The final merit will not take the result from the 2022 UPSC Prelims exam into account. However, the grade in GS Paper I is crucial in determining the UPSC Prelims Cutoff.
- Mains Exam: Those who clear the cut of the preliminary exam appear for the mains exam. It has 9 papers. The marks obtained in the UPSC Mains Examination are important for the final selection

- Interview: Candidates who pass the UPSC Mains Examination are eligible to sit for the interview. The aggregate marks of the Mains Examination and the Interview determine the final selection
Application Fee:

Age Criteria:
Different groups have different age requirements for the IAS exam. IAS exam applicants must generally be at least 21 years old and not older than 32 years. Age relaxation for different categories is 5 years for SC, ST, and ex-servicemen, 3 years for OBC and Defence Services Personnel, and 10 years for PWD applicants
Pay Scale:
Applicants hired for positions in the IAS, IPS, IFS, IA&AS, IPoS, and other services listed in the UPSC CSE receive about the same grade pay of 5400 in the Rs. 15,600-39,100 Pay Band.

Steps to Download Admit Card for UPSC Mains 2022
Step 1: To access the official website. Select “e-Admit Cards”
Step 2:Next, select on “e-Admit Cards for Different UPSC Examinations” and then “Click Here.”
Step 3:Go through the guidelines and click the Yes. Select By Registration Id or By Roll Number.
Step 4: Take a printout of your Admit Card after downloading it for future use.
